Meet Mount Merici’s Dedicated Teachers & Faculty

  • Kayla Smith

    NURSERY TEACHER

Hi, I’m Kayla Smith! I am new to the Mount Merici Academy team, but couldn’t be more excited to be one of the nursery school teachers this year. Growing up, my mom had a licensed in-home daycare which fostered my love for working with children. I more recently worked at Educare with infants and toddlers. I received my bachelor’s degree from Thomas college with a major in psychology and minor in English. I look forward to combining my previous knowledge and experience to create an exceptional preschool classroom!

I have three children and enjoy spending my free time with them. I look forward to helping your children learn and grow.

Hi, I’m Nicole Barbeau! It is such a blessing to be teaching Kindergarten, and I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity! I became a part of the Mount Merici Academy family when my oldest son began Pre-K back in 2007. All three of my sons have attended MMA, in which my youngest is currently in 5th grade. I quickly realized how special this school is and was eager to become a part of it myself! I spent the last 8 incredible years in Pre-K and last year in kindergarten. FOOD SERVICES

"I have been going to Mount Merici for about eight years and every year I feel like I connect more with the community. The school has taught me social skills such as being respectful towards everyone. Having had the opportunity to help others with service work has shown me the value of giving back."
