Awesome Alumni: Cecilia Morin
The past year has been a whirlwind of significant achievements for Cecilia. The journey began with a momentous graduation from the University of Notre Dame Law School on May 18, 2024. Following this, she diligently prepared for and successfully passed the demanding bar exam. Just a couple of weeks after receiving the news of passing the bar, Cecilia accomplished another impressive feat: completing the Chicago Marathon in a remarkable 3 hours and 26 minutes. This wasn't just a personal challenge; it was undertaken as a charity runner for the American Cancer Society, honoring relatives lost to cancer by carrying their names on a ribbon affixed to her race shirt.
The pace of life continued to accelerate as, a mere two days after conquering the marathon, she was officially sworn in as an attorney. Now, Cecilia is back in Maine, working at Preti Flaherty's Portland office. The primary focus of this new role is within the corporate and M&A group, with a secondary specialization in health law. She expresses genuine delight in returning to Maine, relishing the surrounding ocean and trees.
Her personal life is also flourishing; Cecilia got engaged last April and is looking forward to getting married next May. Amidst wedding preparations, she is already embarking on training for the NYC Marathon, where she will once again run as a charity runner for the American Cancer Society.
