What is Development for Mount Merici? Fundraising comes first to mind, and the majority of development is fundraising, including seeking grants, fundraisers, conducting campaigns, etc. Development activity also includes promoting the school: through publicity, business and supporter relationships, and most importantly, through the families of Mount Merici:
Alumni promote the Mount through their examples of excellence in junior high, high school, college, and careers.
Parents promote the Mount through their communications about the school among friends, family, coworkers.
Staff promote the Mount through their excellence in teaching, caring and professional performance.
Students promote the Mount through their community involvement and kind, positive attitudes.
The purpose of Mount Merici development is to identify the strengths of the school, and to promote and publicize the faith-filled, excellent educational community it offers, with the result of gaining material and spiritual support, making the school accessible to all who desire to attend.
